Dot NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to book john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed third-level domains remained active.

Through our company, you can secure your dot NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar company and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no particular conditions on who can register a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
